Hyderabad city is fast developing and finding its place among the fastest growing cities of the world. It is divided into two areas; old city and the new city. Though Panjagutta locality is counted among new city localities, a few centimeter of rain brings problems to the residents of Panjagutta. It is a famous commercial area. Hyderabad Central Mall has been built in the area a few years ago. People from far off places arrive here for shopping but the municipal problems of the area remains as they are for the past several years.
Water logging problem persists in the surrounding areas of Panjagutta police station police quarters, Masjid Bi Saheba Model House, NIMS hospital and Shanti Shikara apartment.
Corporator Panjagutta Municipal Division also admits that there is no proper water disposal system in the area. While giving an interview to TV channels, the corporator asserted that high officials of municipality and political leaders are becoming an obstacle in redressing the municipal problems.
