Secondary Education K Parthasarathy on Friday denied that several corporate private schools were violating the prescribed government norms and regulations.
Replying to question raised by M S Prabhankar rao, Rudraraju Padma Raju and K Dileep Kumar in the Legislative Council during Question Hour, he said that the government has regulated the fee structure for private recognized schools.
He said instructions have been issued to all District Educational Officers to ensure that all the unauthorized private and corporate schools operating in their districts shall be closed with immediate effect.
Dissatisfied with minister’s reply, MLC K Yadav Reddy, Prabhakar Rao and P Venkat Rao said that private schools in Hyderabad and other parts of the State were collecting lakhs of rupees as fee and an even amount as donation. They demanded that the government constitute a House committee and enquire into the matter.
The Minister said that he would study the issue and consider constituting a judicial committee to look into the matter.
