The City North Zone police conducted a cordon and search operation under Chilkalguda police limits in Secunderabad on Saturday midnight.
The North Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Karthikeya Reddy said they have organized Cordon and Search operation in Doodbavi area on receipt of information that Bihar robbers’ gang was involved in the recent robbery in a mobile cell phone shop.
On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, some 250 police personnel cordoned off the Doodbavi area and conducted a door-to-door checking and took four suspects into custody. The police also seized seven vehicles for not having proper documents. The cops also enquired about every house owner in the area.
21 drunken drivers held in Srinagar Cly
In an anti-drunk and drive operation conducted in Srinagar Colony in Banjara Hills at midnight, the police seized several vehicles, including 14 two-wheelers, six cars and one autorickshaw. The Banjara Hills police registered cases against 21persons who were driving vehicles under intoxication. The police said the accused will be produced before the court on Monday. (NSS)
