Cops thrash motor mechanic in Old city

Hyderabad, October 05: A case of police brutality in Old city came into light after the sleuths of Mirchowk Police allegedly beaten up a motor mechanic over a trivial issue at a cafe. According to Mohammed Ahmed Ali (50) a resident of Kamal Nagar Chaderghat, yesterday he had went to a café near Mahatma Gandhi Bus station in order to have breakfast,

after having the breakfast Ahmed Ali was washing his hands where an waiter of the café objected to this and there was an minor altercation between the both.

In the meantime the cops of Mirchowk police attached to Blue Colts team interfered and allegedly thrashed Ahmed Ali for picking up an argument with hotel staff.

When the victim questioned cops for their rash behavior and unnecessary interference, the two constables of blue colts team called Mirchowk Rakshak Mobile and shifted him to police station where he was allegedly beaten up mercilessly resulting in grievous injuries and a fracture in his leg.

Then the Rakshak Mobile party of Mirchowk Police station in a haste brought Mohammed Ahmed Ali to Osmania General Hospital yesterday evening and got him admitted claiming that he has met with an accident, after the admission the cops left him in emergency and reportedly disappeared.

“ I did nothing wrong but the Mirchowk police have tortured me and I was badly beaten up, I want action against those who did harassed illegally” Ahmed Ali said.

In the meantime the DCP South Zone Vineet Brijlal said “ I have received a report from the ACP Mirchowk against the cops responsible, we have recommended for their suspension, suitable action will be taken against them”

The MBT Corporator Mr.Amjedullah Khan Khalid visited the Osmania General Hospital and strongly protested the brutality of Mirchowk Police.
