Hyderabad, April 26: Police raided a function hall on the outskirts of the city where a birthday bash was organised by a businessman late last night and arrested 10 bar dancers from Mumbai who were indulging in obscene dances. To top it, the birthday boy suffered fractures as he jumped over the compound wall in a bid to escape from the police.
The businessman from Koti, Ajay Agarwal, who entered into the 40s, threw a party at Raghavendra Function Hall at Shamshabad. He hired bar dancers from Mumbai through some DJs to entertain the guests.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the function hall and found the skmipily-clad women indulging in obscene dances and entertaining the guests, who were throwing money at the dancers. Police arrested six guests and the 10 bar dancers and remanded them in custody.
Meanwhile, Ajay Agarwal suffered fractures on his left leg when he jumped from the 12-foot-high compound wall to avoid being caught by the police. He was admitted to a hospital.
Shamshabad police registered cases under Section 294 (obscene acts and songs) against the bar dancers whi le the others were charged under Section 109 (abetment of offence).
