Sleuths investigating the sudden and mysterious disappearance of a city doctor on Thursday began questioning his wife on the suspicion that her relatives might be involved in the affair.
It might be recalled here that 35-year old Harsha Reddy, a Radiologist working in Yashoda Hospital, went missing a few days back. When the doctor did not reach home after leaving the hospital on Monday night, a complaint was made to the police alleging that he might have been kidnapped.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the doctor’s father living in Vijayawada, was stated to have been contacted by the alleged abductors, who demanded a ransom of Rs 40 lakhs for his release. However, what intrigued the investigating officials was the recovery of mobile phone belonging to the abducted doctor in Suryapet of Nalgonda district.
