Cops foil TTDP leaders’ padayatra against drug peddling

Police today foiled an attempt of the Telangana TDP leaders, who tried to take out a padayatra in protest against the drug mafia.

TDP Telangana State working president A Revanth Reddy, politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and others were taken into preventive custody near the Ambedkar statue when they tried to organize padayatra from Tankbund to SIT office investigating into the drug peddling. Revanmth Reddy said the Stat government has miserably failed to curb drug peddling in the capital city. He also alleged that some relatives of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao were making hay with illegal drug trade.

Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy, Kuna Venkatesh Goud, Mekala Sarangapani, Vem Narendar Reddy, Satish Madiga, Tajuddin, Shakeela Reddy and other TNSF leaders were arrested while they were about to go on “padayatra” against the drug menace in Hyderabad City.
