Hyderabad: A senior police officer was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly threatening a man with a gun.
Ch. Ramesh (25), a resident of singappaguda village, Chevella mandal found at the house of the complainant, K.Raju, a resident of Himayatnagar, with his wife. At around 11 pm on Monday, when raju questioned them together, Ramesh allegedly threatened him with his pistol.
Ramesh and Raju’s wife were having an extramarital affair, Raju complaint. The inspector of Moinabad Venkateshwarlu said, “We are yet to investigate about the allegations”.
While escaping, Raju fell down and sustained head injuries, police said.
Ramesh was suspended on Tuesday and was produced before court and remanded to judicial custody. He was booked under relevant sections of the Arms Act.
