Cooperation between all sections necessary to maintain communal harmony: ZAK

All sections should extend equal support to maintain communal harmony in India. Instead of expecting communal integrity only from Muslims, other sections should also come forward on this sensitive issue. Mr. Zahed Ali Khan editor Siasat told this while addressing a Round Table Conference organised by Awaaz committee to mark the 20th anniversary of demolition of Babri Masjid.

He told that, even after Ranganath Misra Commission and Sachar Committee report, the attitude adopted by the government has become a matter of concern not only for Muslims but also for the secular sections of the country.

Mr. P Madhu told that communal forces such as BJP want to disrupt peace of the city by triggering violence in Muslim predominant areas so as to indirectly obstruct development of Muslims. He further stated that communal forces in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and across the country try to hurt religious sentiments of Muslims by targeting them. But it can be surely said the general Muslims do not fall prey to those conspiracies and prefer maintaining peace.

Maulana Syed Tariq Quadri told that the report submitted by state minority commission on the police excesses towards Muslim youth has not been implemented yet. Major Quadri maintained that we want to strive for the maintenance of peace by joining hands with secular Hindus. He claimed that the peace prevails in the country only due to the strength of those secular people.
