Hyderabad: Govt. of Saudi Arabia has put a ban on cooking in buildings located in Green Zone adjacent to Haram Shareef. Special Officer Telangana State Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor told that this was informed by the Consulate General of India, Jeddah that Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Civil Defence Department of Saudi Arabia have directed the Muallims not to do cooking in any building of Green Category. The officials of the departments are visiting buildings of Green Category and are removing cooking materials including stove, gas cylinders, electric hot plate etc from the buildings. Building owners have been directed to remove cooking items otherwise they will be fined heavily and the building would be sealed.
It must be noted that earlier pilgrims of Green and Azizia categories were provided kitchen facility. Now the facility is enjoyed only by the Hajj pilgrims of Azizia category.
