Convince people about Welfare schemes: Naidu tells partymen

Telugu Desam national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today exhorted the party rank and file to take up enrolment of voters till November  5,  and conduct  brisk campaign on welfare schemes and developmental programs among people to win all MLC elections to be held in nine districts in March next for Teachers and graduate candidates.

At a Tele Conference,  Naidu asked ministers and leaders to take up enrolment constituency- wise through Jana Chaitanya Yatra in 9 districts on Oct 15, 16 and 17 and ensure  right to vote to all those eligible. Unless we take up the brisk campaign to every doorstep at all levels we cannot convince the people, he said. Stating that the TDP was lagging behind in  focusing on indirect elections, Chandrababu directed the ruling party leaders to take on the Opposition and condemn their comments against the welfare schemes. It is time to reach out to the people and explain them about the welfare schemes taken up during two and half years and take support of the educated to win the elections, he said.

Explaining about fiber grid, water grid and power grid,  he asked the party leaders to focus on basic facilities, roads, water and  power supply and infrastructure,   and to ensure consolidation in every district and win the hearts of the people. We have to apprise  the people on the necessity of the TDP to be in power for next 20 years. (NSS)
