Hyderabad, December 12: A convicted prisoner committed suicide in police custody. The incident took place yesterday morning in Uppal police station where 37 year old Dinesh who was a resident of Ramantapur hanged himself to death.
A local court of Rangareddy had imposed 5 years imprisonment and 5 thousand rupees fine on December 10.
The convict committed suicide in the police station a day after the court’s pronouncement.
It is said that Dinesh was under trial for his wife’s suicide case. His wife being sickened over the harassment by her husband had committed suicide in the year 2008.
