Iron bars of the jail didn’t bar Vijay Kumar Shukla, a former MLA of the ruling Janata Dal- United ( JD- U) and convicted murderer from pursuing doctoral research.
According to sources he is doing doctorate from the Muzaffarpur- based Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bihar University on the research topic ‘expression of political consciousness in Hindi novels in the post- 1960 era’. He is also said to have completed MA and LLB from the same university.
He has already submitted his thesis and on Friday he went to the university for viva, after obtaining permission from the court. His family sources say that he has always been very studious and always gives prominence to education.
