After a control room was set up at AP Bhavan in New Delhi in the wake of Nepal Earthquake, it received calls and assisted 33 references on Saturday night.
Some 380 Telugu people reportedly stranded in Nepal following the quake. Out of 47 Telugu people, including 28 from Hyderabad and 19 from Vijayawada, have been brought to New Delhi on Saturday night in three IAF helicopters, which rescued 400 Indians from Nepal.
The AP Bhavan made all arrangements like shelter, food and assistance to Telugu people rescued from Nepal. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu instructed State Minister Y.S Chowdary and AP Special Representative in Delhi K. Ramamohan Rao to ensure that Telugu people are put on flights immediately.
The AP Bhavan officials are coordinating with those of Nepal Embassy and the Ministry of External Affairs, India. Others rescued from Nepal will be put on flights to their respective destinations on Sunday.
