Annual Function of Urdu Arts College was held at Urdu Hall, Himayathnagar under the Chairmanship of the President of Managing Committee Mr. Ghulam Yazdani Advocate. Mr. Sajjad Shahid, Secretary of College Committee was the Chief Guest.
Dr. Irfanullah Khan paid a tribute to former principal of the college Mr. Abdur Rahim Khan. Dr. Salman Abid Conducted the meeting. Dr. Ateeq Iqbal, Principal of the college presented the detailed report of the college. He said that the college was started in 1962 due to the dedicated efforts of Prof. Habibur Rahman. Dr. Hosaini Shahid was its first Principal. His contributions for the development of the college are laudable.
The college is equipped with modern computer laboratory, best Library and a reading room.
Mr. Sajjad Shahid told that this year is the golden jubilee year of the College. He paid rich tributes of Prof. Habibur Rahman and Dr. Hosaini Shahid for the development of the college. He also stressed the need to publish the college magazine “Phool Ban”.
