Hyderabad: Akbaruddin Owaisi attack case got a new turn when witness contradicted his own statement. Mohammed Rahmatullah Tayyab had given a statement earlier that he had gone to Omer Function Hall on 14th April 2011 to book the function hall where 10-12 persons where hatching a conspiracy to attack Akbar Owaisi.
Mr. Guru Murthy, Advocate who was pleading the case on behalf of Mohammed Pahelwan cross examined the witness. When the map of the function hall was shown to identify the directions of the room in which it was alleged that the conspiracy to attack Akbaruddin Owaisi was hatched, he could not reply properly. He denied that he knew Asaduddin Owaisi. When he was shown photographs with Asaduddin Owaisi. He was nonplussed. In the pictures the witness was shown in Chennai giving relief to Chennai flood victims.
