Contractors told to speed up works on projects

GHMC Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy today directed senior Engineering officials and concerned Contractors to further speed up the works in order to complete the projects in a stipulated time. The Commissioner, GHMC, Bharathi Holikeri, Addl. Commissioner (Housing) along with Suresh, Chief Engineer, visited and inspected the construction of 2BHK houses at Rampally village in Keesara Mandal and another project at Ahmedguda, Bandlaguda Grama panchayath in Medchal Constituency today.

The Commissioner along with senior officials first visited Rampally Village where around 6264 units are being constructed with 52 No. of blocks S+10 pattern each block consisting of 120 units. The scheme has been started in the year 2016-17 with an area of 41 acres with an extent of 198440 sq.yds. The cost of each unit is around Rs. 8.65 lakhs, the entire project cost is around Rs. 54183.60 lakhs. Later, the team visited Ahmedguda Housing Project at Bandlaguda where 4428 no. of houses are being constructed with 41 blocks the pattern if construction is C+stilt+9 pattern, each unit is costing around 8.65 lakhs, the total project for 4428 houses its coming around Rs. 38302.20 lakhs. The plinth area of each unit is around 560.sft. M/s. DEC Infrastructure and project India Pvt. Ltd., is taking up this project.

The Engineering officials and Contractors explained the Commissioner about the constructions which are taking up in both the projects. The Commissioner also interacted with them and had a detailed discussion about the ongoing works and further directed them if any need arises they may contact the Commissioner. D. Jayaraj Kenedy, Additional Commissioner, Smt. Drakshamani, Examiner of Accounts Superintending Engineers Kishan, Rajender, Ravinder, EEs, DEs, AEs and senior officials of the GHMC have participated in the visit. (NSS)
