Two contract killers have been murdered in Jhiri-Tapriya village. Jabalpur District’s Gadaghat residents Neelesh Patel and Beni Patel were given Rs 1 lakh by Jhiri-Tapriya’s Kamlesh Patel to slay Hakam Singh Patel. Beni and Neelesh reached the village last night to commit the crime. However, Hakam’s kin got wind of the matter and attacked the would-be killers. “A case was registered against Hakam, Veerendra and two women all of whom are absconding. Actually, Hakam controls 2.5 acres belonging to Kamlesh and that is why the latter is unable to sell it,” said Additional Superintendent of Police DK Dixit. UNI
