Several contract and outsourcing employees and Legislative Council members were arrested by the police when they took out ‘chalo assembly rally’ here today seeking to regularise their employment. Hundreds of contract and outsourcing employees working in various government departments were prevented by the police at Indira park and arrested them. The police also arrested MLCs including Nageswar and AVS Sharma who supported the rally. Talking to the media persons, Mr Nageswar cautioned that pressure would be mounted on the government until the contract and outsourcing employees demands were fulfilled.
