Hyderabad, October 09: There is a severe threat to the lives and health of locals as a result ofcarelessness on the part of Water and sewerage board. Many localitiesof the old city are feared to get affected as highly contaminated water is being supplied in the area.
Residents of various localities such as Kamati Pura, Himmat Pura, Kala
pathar and surrounding areas complained that they were receiving
highly contaminated water for two days which is so filthy that it can
not be used for other purposes let alone for drinking.
Concerned Water works officials have been informed regarding this but
no action has been taken by them so far.
If immediate attention is not given to it, then the incident of
Bholakpurm Musheerabad could be repeated where some lost their lives and others were to be treated in hospitals because of
contaminated water supply in the area.
