Municipal Corporation Hyderabad has announced construction of a new bridge near the famous Lakdi ka pul of Hyderabad. The construction of the new bridge was pending since years. Buildings adjoining the Lakdi ka pul road were acquired under road widening and it was also announced to pay 3 crore 18 lakh as compensation to the building owners.
According to Municipal Corporation the construction works will be finished within 3 months but the Lakdi ka pul which is a junction connecting Khairiatabad, Nampally and Secunderabad is highly susceptible to traffic congestion and the construction work for three months will add to the woes of already troubled commuters.
