Construction work in Eidgah Balapur stopped-Effect of Siasat News

A report was published in Siasat Urdu Daily about illegal construction by the land grabbers at old Eidgah of Balapur. In the news published in Siasat it was mentioned that 1200 square yards land is being sold by the land grabber. With the publication of this report all the department came into action. Pahadi Shareef police stopped the construction work at Eidgah which is of Mogal Emperor, Alamgir.

It is reported that a team of Department of revenue lead by Mr. Yadagiri, Surveryor reached the spot and it was surveying the land. Meanwhile a team of State Wakf Board lead by Mr. Sanaullah, Wakf Protection Officer and Surveyor Mr. Shujath Ali Khan also reached there and presented all the copies of documents and gazettes and told that this is a Wakf property registered under the Eidgah premises. This land admeasures 10 guntas (1200 square yards) but if you local miscreants are polluting the atmosphere. Wakf Board officials desired the police to stop the ongoing construction work and the plotting of Wakf land. Mr. Yadagiri, Surveyor of Revenue Department also spoke to police officers. After this A.C.P. Ibrahim Patnam Mr. Srinivas and Inspector of Pahadi Shareef police, Mr. Giri Kumar stop the construction work. The inspector told that the documents received from the revenue department and Wakf Board would be handed over to Collector of Ranga Reddy District.

The officials of Wakf Board told that although the land identified is shown as 1200 sq. yards in Govt. gazette but actually more land is registered as wakf property of this Eidgah. They said that they will submit more documents after verifying the records of Archives with in 4 days. Present on this occasion was Mr. Mohd Abdul Kareem, President of the organization which is campaigning for the production of wakf land belonging to Eidgah.

It may be noted that A detailed report was published in Siasat Urdu Daily about the plotting of land by Non-Muslim land grabbers. After publication of this report the local land grabbers were perturbed and at last, police came into action.
