Of late, illegal positions are being made on Wakf lands but A. P. Wakf Board has not being any action. This is encouraging illegal occupants. GHMC did not bother to initiate action under Land Acquisition Act, nor did it pay heed to the warning issued by A.P. State Wakf Board. GHMC started construction to expand the 100 meter road form Mogal Ka Nala to Puran Pul on the walf land belonging to Toli Masjid and Dargah Hazrat Darwesh Mohiuddin Quadri. On the representation of Mr. Osman Al Hajri, President of Deccan Wakf Properties’ society. A.P. State Wakf Board had written a letter to GHMC but the work of laying down the road was not stopped. Seeing the steps taken by GHMC, Mr. Osman Bin Mohammed al Hajri approached A.P. State Wakf Tribunal for the cancellation of work of laying down the road. The Wakf Tribunal issued a Show Cause Notice in OS number 80, IA No.690 to Engineer-in-Chief of GHMC and CEO of Wakf Board directing them to be present in the Tribunal in person or represented by their leader on 31st May2013.
