Construction work of Andhra Pradesh secretariat was again restored today which was disrupted following death of a construction laborer in an incident near Velagpudi in Guntur district.
The district officials have promulgated prohibitory orders under section 144 banning any kind of public meeting, agitation or dharna within the Jurisdiction and not to allow any private person near the construction site.
There was a mild tension at the construction site when a laborer hailing from Uttar Pradesh crushed under a concrete mission. The fellow laborers staged demonstration demanding compensation to the victims and they also damaged some vehicles of construction company. However, the officials later hold talks with the agitating workers and pacified them after announcement of giving Rs 20 lakh financial help to victim family.(NSS)
