Construction of new Hajj house delayed by dispute between two departments

For the convenience of Hajj aspirants, the government has decided to construct a new Hajj house near international airport at the outskirts of the city in Pahadi Shareef area. It has allocated 10 acre land for the purpose but due to dispute between Waqf Board and Hajj Committee the construction work has not yet begun.

Interestingly it has been decided to construct the building with an expenditure of Rs 12 crore and government has already released Rs 3 crore in the first phase. The amount is safe with Rangareddy collector. But thanks to the dispute between the two minority institutions, foundation laying ceremony is delayed.

The dispute is regarding who will control the building. Since the land belongs to waqf board it wants to have control over the building, while Hajj committee’s claim is because the building will be used for Hajj aspirants, Hajj committee should have control over it.
