Imphal: Unidentified men allegedly abducted a manager of a construction firm from a railway track laying site project in newly created Noney district of Manipur, a senior police official said today.
Chinmoy Dutta Gupta, hailing from West Bengal, was abducted by some unidentified men on Wednesday last from Jiri-Tupud tunnel no 2 construction site where the Simplex group is undertaking the project, he said.
Gupta, an engineer by profession, still remains untraced, he said, adding no group has claimed any responsibility about the incident as yet.
