Construction of illegal and unauthorized temples in full swing

Construction of illegal and unauthorized temples at footpaths, crossroads, on nallas, interior parts of Moosi River besides historical places, govt. offices, govt. hospitals is in full swing. Even the educational institutions have not been spared and miscreants are erecting religious structures from nowhere. On the other hand government has turned a blind eye to those illegal religious structures.

Temples have been constructed at Golconda Fort, Seven Tombs and even at Qutub Shahi graveyard also. This has been done right under the nose of Archeological Survey of India. Religious structures have been erected at 33 places at Moosi River. In Zoological Park at Bahadurpura small stones have been put at 18 places and communal elements have all set to construct permanent religious structures at those places. Within 5 to 10 years, you are more likely to see temples at 18 places in the Zoo.

During his speech Prof. Vishveshwar Rao also pointed out that temples are being constructed in a planned manner. By citing the examples of temples emerging out of the blue at Osmania University and a watchman’s room of Nizam College transformed into a temple.

A platform had been made at a road divider at Shaikhpet cross road a month ago in connection with Bio-diversity conference preparation. Miscreants put some stones on it and painted them with saffron colour beside erecting saffron flags. Despite complaint by local people the miscreants made a big platform and erected a saffron flag on it at the same time they placed pictures of various deities on the platform. This has been done under the nose of police pickets.

Efforts of expanding a small temple abutting historical Salar Jang Museum gate are also on. A wooden frame has been placed to accomplish their nefarious plan. Police, security officials of museum and authorities of the museum know it, but all are playing the role of mute-spectators.
