Construction of compound wall at Muslim graveyard in Warangal

Before the entrance of Warangal Fort, there is a Muslim graveyard and adjacent to it is an open land of the Govt. on which the Hindus play ‘Bathakamma’ every year on the occasion of Dassehra festival. On this open land, water stagnates in rainy season. There is no compound wall to the graveyard. When the construction work of compound wall started, some people belonging to Hindu religion tried to create an issue and made an attempt to stop the construction work.

This issue was resolved in the presence of Mandal Revenue Officer Mr. Mohammed Saleemuddin and D.S.P. Dr. Lavanya Naik. People from both the groups have come to a conclusion and resolved the matter amicably.

The foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction wall of the Muslim graveyard is being held today at 10 a.m.

The chairman of Minorities Cell of District Congress Committee, Mr. Mohammed Yakoob Ali and others participated in negotiations to resolve the issue peacefully.
