Minister for Marketing & Legislative Affairs T Harish Rao today said the works related to construction of godowns were completed by 85 per cent.
Participating in the debate during the budget session in the Assembly on Saturday, Harish Rao said the Centre allotted Rs 265 crore for construction of godowns and released Rs 132 crore so far. Stating that transparency was being maintained in tenders, Harish Rao said works on the godowns will be taken up in 34 mandal headquarters soon and solar panels will be used in the process. “Our government is committed to complete construction of adequate number of storage houses in the State and help the farmers store their produce and sell in open market when they get better price, Harish Rao said.
