Construct Aneesul Ghuraba orphanage building instead of extravaganza on Iftaar party-Muslim leaders of Congress advised C.M

(Siasat News)Muslim leaders of Congress met the C.M. and advised him to reduce the expenditure on Iftaar party and utilize the same amount for the construction of Aneesul Ghuraba Orphanage in Nampally in Hyderabad.

They also demanded the C.M to enhance the budget of Makkha Masjid and Shahi Masjid, Public Garden to Rs. 5 crore to facilitate the purchase of generators and Janimaz for these mosques.

The delegation of Congress leaders consisted of Mr. Mohammed Jani, MLC and former Minister, Mr. Mohammed Farooq Hussain MLC, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, General Secretary, AP Congress Committee, Mr. Sultan Ahmed, former MLC and Mr. Hafiz peer Shabbier Ahmed MLC. They also discussed various Muslims issues and ways and means to resolve them and to introduce welfare schemes for the benefit of the Muslims so that they can get closer Congress Party.

They told the C.M that Rs. 40 to 60 lakhs are spent only shamianas for Iftaar party.

If Iftaar Party is arranged at Jubilee Hill, this expenditure could be reduced. The amount thus saved, could be utilized for the construction of the new building of the orphanage. Besides this, there are many other Muslims institutions, which need financial assistance from the Govt.

The Muslim leaders pointed out that representations are being made for the installation of generators in Makka Masjid and Shahi Masjid, Public Garden but no action has been taken so far. C.M instructed the officials to take immediate action.

The leaders pointed out that earlier, Rs. 15,000 used to be given for the marriages of the poor Muslims girls. This amount has now been raised to Rs 25,000 but the budget of
Rs 1.50 crore has not been increased. There is a need to enhance it to Rs 5 crore.

They also demanded to appoint permanent staff in minorities’ institutions because the recruitment of temporary staff is causing inconvenience in the work. C.M assured that steps would be taken to recruit permanent staff. C.M. requested the Muslim leaders of Congress to submit some more concrete proposals for the benefit of the Muslims. He asserted that congress is bound to take welfare measures for the upliftment of the Muslims.
