Constitution guarantees equal rights to all religions: AK Khan

Hyderabad: British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Andrew McAllister stressed the need for inter religious friendship and communal harmony. He was addressing the youths on “Empowering young global citizens”.

Mr. A.K. Khan, former DGP of ACB, who is presently functioning as Advisor to Governor on Minority Affairs also addressed the gathering. Present on this occasion were Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman, Minorities Commission, Mr. Packiam T. Samuel, Ms. Anjum Babu Khan, Director Springfield Schools and Glendale Academy, Dr. Satyamurthy of Silver Oaks School.

Highlighting the objectives of the conference, the Dy. British High Commissioner told that the conference envisages to bring about positive change in their life style by making the Muslim youths empowered. He told that due to discrimination there is a gap between the citizens which has to be bridged.

Mr. A.K. Khan told that there is no conflict between Islamic Shariat and constitution of India. Constitution provides equal rights for all the religion. Minorities have been guaranteed special facilities which should be made use of.
