Jeddah: Prominent Saudi friends, distinguished members of the Diaspora, School Children, Teachers and CGI, Jeddah staff came together to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the adoption of Constitution and the ideals and values enshrined in it.
The Celeberations started with reading the preamble in Hindi and English by Consul General Mr. Noor Rahman Sheikh and staff of the consulate.
Main event started with the keynote speech by eminent Saudi National Padmashri Yogacharini Ms. Nouf Al Marwaai wherein she shared her experience of witnessing the handwritten constitution kept in the library of our Parliament.
The Consul General spoke about the importance of committing ourselves to the principles of Justice, Liberty and Fraternity as enshrined in the Constitution and also giving due importance as responsible citizens to the Fundamental duties.
Several other events like online quiz competition, photographs exhibition on makers of Indian Constitution, screening of films like Mooknayak, Spirit of Freedom, debate, essay and painting competition were organised where students of various schools participated with great fervour.
