Constable PETs must be transparent: DGP tells SPs

Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma has directed the Superintendents of Police of all districts to ensure total transparency in conduct of Physical Efficiency Tests (PETs) for recruitment of constables.

Addressing a video-conference with all SPs on Thursday, Anurag Sharma congratulated them for the successful conduct of SIs Preliminary and Physical Efficiency Tests which concluded on Wednesday. He said that the constables PETs, which is beginning on Friday, would be a difficult task in view of large number of applicants. He said adequate staff should be deployed at all centres to prevent any untoward incident.

As per the revised schedule, the SPs shall conduct the 800 metre running for Male candidates on the first day itself and those who qualify in the test shall be called for verification of certificates on the second day. The DGP has specified that the women candidates, who qualify for PET, should not be allowed to stay at the venue for night halt and must be asked to make their own arrangements so that they can come for certificate verification the next day.

Meanwhile, Anurag Sharma also reviewed the arrangements for ensuing Krishna Pushkaralu with Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda SPs.

TSPRB Chairman Dr. Poornachandra Rao, ADGP (L&O) Anjanee Kumar and other senior officials also participated in the video conference. (INN)
