Constable nabs armed snatcher after fist-fight

New Delhi, February 22: A gun aimed at his chest did not deter a constable from catching a criminal after a fist-fight in the national capital, police said today.

The incident took place in east Delhi’s Chander Nagar on February 20 when Constable Kushan Pal heard cries of ‘thief, thief’ and saw two men fleeing from the spot on a motorcycle.

Pal chased the duo on his motorcycle, overtook them near Ram Nagar Extension and stop them by hitting them with his motorcycle. As a result, the santcher’s bike got slipped into a side drainage.

Pal quickly got down of his motorcycle and grappled with the pillion rider when the other man took out a loaded .315 country made pistol and pointed it at the constable’s chest.

“Pal lost no moment, he left the pillion rider and overpowered the snatcher holding the loaded pistol.
