Hyderabad, December 17: Just two weeks after two constables were suspended in a rape case, another incident of a policeman allegedly sexually molesting a woman came to light on Friday.
According to information, Laxman, a police constable with KPHB police station (PC No.4238), under the influence of alcohol sexually molested a woman, who was heading to her work place.
Laxman, a 2008 batch constable and resident of Quthubullpur, was on his way to home after his duty hours at around 8 pm in a fully drunken condition.
Meanwhile, a woman, resident of KPHB 4th Lane, working with a pharmaceutical firm, was waiting in her office cab to attend her night duty. While the driver was away for some time.
Finding the woman alone in the cab, Laxman accosted her and started querying and later took her to an isolated place and allegedly molested her. However, police said that in the absence of the driver, Laxman misbehaved with the woman, but did not force her sexually.
Earlier this month, two police constables of Tukaram Gate were suspended from their duties for raping a minor girl while they were on their patrolling duty.
