A police constable died of heart-attack while performing mandatory physical exercises at Goshamahal Grounds here on Saturday.
The 98-batch constable, G Shiva Sudhakar Rao, was aged about 40 years and was attached with the Banjara Hills Police Station. He suffered a massive heart attack while performing mandatory weekly exercise in the Goshamahal Grounds. He was immediately rushed to the Care Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy and other senior police officials visited the hospital. Expressing grief over Sudhakar Rao’s demise, the Commissioner said that the constable was quite dedicated and has also won a medal for saving people in Panjagutta fire accident a few years ago. He lauded his services and assured that the police department would take care of his family which includes two sons, aged 11 and 9 years. (INN)
