Constable creates ruckus at police station; suspended

Allahabad, November 16: A police constable was today placed under suspension for allegedly reporting for duty in an inebriated condition and creating ruckus at the police station.

Constable Chhote Lal Yadav, attached to Attarsuiya Police Station here, reported for duty in an inebriated condition, picked up a quarrel with colleagues, and threatened the police in-charge M P Singh, a police spokesman said.

The drama began this morning when Yadav’s colleagues noticed his tottery movements and admonished him for his act.

Following this, the irate constable started fighting with his colleagues.

When Singh tried to pacify Yadav, the latter threatened him with dire consequences. Soon, he pointed the light automatic rifle towards himself and threatened to commit suicide. However, he was overpowered and dropped at his residence, the spokesman said.
