(Siasat News) Nawab Ruknud Dowla, Minister of Asif Jah-VI had constructed a canal near Mir Alam Tank. Its water used to be filtered through a fine thin cloth and sent to King Kothi for drinking purposes. It was so sweet that the Asif Jahi Kings used to take this water whereas they went. After the cessation of Erstwhile Hyderabad State, this canal was abandoned.
It is reported that a land grabbers are plotting the land and entering into transactions to sell it. The real estate experts value this land to be of Rs. 20 crore. Dr. Jasvine Jairath member of SOUL (Save Our Urban Lakes) and Mr. Masood visited the spot and requested the Government to take action to save this land from the land grabbers.
