Urdu is the representative of Ganga-Jamuna Civilization and through it relations between the compatriots could be softened. The tragedy of Urdu is that the capitalists of this country, especially the Muslims didn’t make any attempt to get its due place. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Syed Faisal Ali, incharge of editorial section of Rashtriya Sahara, Urdu Daily of Hyderabad chapter while addressing a gathering to mark the sixth anniversary of Rashtriya Sahara.
He complained about the lack of broad-mindedness in Urdu journalism. He told that Urdu journalism exhibits emotionalism. One of its causes is the negligence of Urdu press by National Media.
Mr. Faisal Ali told that attempts are being made at international level to put them on the track of terrorist activities by inciting them but the Muslims leave no stone unturned in spreading their message by exhibiting their patience.
He told that every individual should try his level best to get the appropriate place for Urdu.
Present in the function were Mr. Farooq Husain, MLC, Mr. Zia Quadri, publisher of Sahara Urdu Daily, Mr. Shujaath Ali Shafee, Depty Director of Door Darshan, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, General Secretary, Congress, Mr. Mohammed Ali Baig, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Majeed (Pista House) Mr. Arif Rizwan, Director of Royal Institute of Technology, Prof S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy, Mr. Salahuddin Nayyar, Mr. Tayyab Pasha Quadri, Mr. Shahid Peeran and many others.
Mr. Faisal Ali informed that there is a proposal to publish Rashtriya Sahara from some more cities. An attempt is also being made to improve the standard of the newspaper and to present its role in reforming the character of the community. He told that Mr. Subroto Roy, the owner of Rashtriya Sahara is the true friend of Urdu. He is a person who makes efforts to bring various communities together.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Farooq Husain told that we get the news from all over India in Rashtriya Sahara. He desired the management of the newspaper to publish more news items of Hyderabad in its city edition.
Mr. Shujaath Ali (I.I.S) and Mr. Zia Quadri also addressed the gathering.
Mr. Tayyab Pasha Quadri recited the naath in the beginning of the programme.
Mr. Shoukat Ali Soofi, Resident Editor of Rashtriya Sahara welcomed the guests and conducted the meeting.
