Conman arrested

On Friday Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths arrested a conman for collecting about Rs 2 crore from several persons by misleading them that he bagged a project approved by ministry of human resources
development.

According to officials P Srinivas Raju was arrested based on the complaint by a teacher DS Lakshmi. Srinivas had told Lakshmi that his company Edusoft Technologies bagged a contract to supply computer education software to all Kendriya Vidyalayas under the ministry of human resources development.

Few documents of the ministry of human resources development was also showed by Srinivas Raju as proof and sought ‘investment’ from Lakshmi for the purpose. “Believing it to be genuine, Lakshmi invested Rs 80 lakhs. Lakshmi and others came to know later that the accused had cheated them by forging ministry of human resources development documents,” said Deputy Commissioner of police (CCS) Pala Raju.
