AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu today held a tele conference with public representatives and officials on the progress of Polavaram project constructions works.
He asked them to spread the initiatives taken up by the A P government about the construction of Polavaram project. The government was totally working in a transparent manner in connection with this project. “We are furnishing details of funds released from the Centre for this project”, the CM said, adding that details of expenses of the State government on the project was also being given. Chandrababu Naidu directed Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma to provide detailed information about the project to ministers also.
He alleged that the Congress and YSRCP were unnecessarily creating confusion about the project. The CM said the statement given in the Assembly on the project itself should be treated as a white paper. The government would solve the objections raised by the Centre in this connection, he said. A Central Technical Committee has visited Polavaram project and inspected the ongoing construction works.(NSS)
