Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao has predicted that the Congress party would return to power in general elections to be held in 2019.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here on Sunday, VHR said that the present BJP and TRS Governments in the country and Telangana respectively have disappointed the people with their poor performance. He said that the people have started realising that they committed a mistake by not voting for the Congress. People got lured by attractive slogans like ‘Achche Din’ and ‘Bangaru Telangana’. However, they got upset after both the parties failed to deliver on their promises. He said that the BJP Government was not able to bring back the Black Money from foreign country nor did the TRS move an inch towards formation of ‘Bangaru Telangana’.
VHR said that the Congress would re-emerge as the strongest party in the Telangana and other States to win the next elections. (INN)
