Congress will loose if Telangana is not formed- Telangana Resource Center

80th weekly colloquium of Telangana Resource Center was held at Chandram at Himayath Nagar yesterday. Justice B.Sudarshan Reddy presided over the function. Prof. M.Sridhar of NALSAR University, Prof. Hari Nath of OU, Mr. Ram Lakshman, Prof. Anwar Khan and other addressed the meeting.

In his residential remarks, Justice Sudarshan Reddy told that the demand for separate Telangana is the legitimate right of the people of Telangana. If Govt. of bows down against any pressure or it delays the formation of Telangana, it has to face defeat in this region. He told that in the democratic setup of India there are many ways of forming a new State. By utilizing these provisions separate Telangana State could be formed. To delay Telangana Issue further under the pretext of more consultations would be regrettable. About deciding the capital of the new State, there is the provision in the constitution of India, which says that the capital of the new state could be, retained a common capital for 5 years. Keeping common capital for more than 5 years would be violation of the constitution. Giving the details of economic resources, Justice Reddy said that Telangana contributes the largest revenue of the State. Other speakers also alleged that Andhra Rulers exploited the natural resources of Telangana.
