Hyderabad : AICC Secretary, In charge of Telangana Congress Affairs, Mr. Kantaiya congratulated Mr. Mohammed Khaja Fakhruddin on his assuming charge as the In charge of Minorities cell of Telangana Congress. He advised him to work hard to bring minorities closer to Congress. When Mr. Kantaiya arrived at Gandhi Bhavan, Telangana PCC president, Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy welcomed him. Present on this occasion were Rajya Sabha MP of Congress, Mr. V. Hanumanth Rao and former MLA, Mr. M. Shashidhar Reddy.
Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy introduced Mr. Mohammed Khaja Fakhruddin to Mr. Kantaiya. He discussed various issues relating to the present political situation of the State, Minorities issues, proposed elections of GHMC and Iftar party to be hosted by Telangana PCC.
Telangana PCC President informed him that Congress is hosting Iftar party on 11th July. Mr. Kantaiya told that the foundation of Congress is on secularism. Congress Party accepted defeat but it did not compromise with the communal elements. He advised the Congress leaders to raise their voice against the anti-people policies of TRS Govt. He also told them to organize protest meeting, dharna and other programs. He told them to devote themselves for the ensuing GHMC election. He said that Congress is the only alternative of BJP in the center and TRS in Telangana.
Mr. Mohammed Khaja Fakhruddin assured Mr. Kantaiya that he would fulfill the responsibility assigned to him by the Congress. He further told that he would work for the stability of the party and would raise his voice against the anti-minorities policies of TRS Govt. and also create awareness among the minorities.
