Congress urges ECI to put off Khed by-poll

TPCC Chief Official Spokesperson Dr D Sravan Kumar has demanded that the Election Commission of India (ECI) postpone the Narayanakhed bye-election to be held on February 13.
Sravan met Chief Election Commissioner Naseem Jaidi on Monday in this regard along with former MLA Bikshamaiah Goud. Sravan urged the ECI to introduce printers in EVMs in Narayanakhed bye-election or use ballot paper. He appealed to the ECI to postpone the Narayanakhed bye-election in case it was not possible to conduct the election using ballot or introducing printers in EVMs.
Speaking to the media later, Sravan said they got a doubt on tampering of EVMs, but their doubts proved right in GHMC elections. He questioned how IT Minister K Tarakarama Rao knew that his party would win 100 seats in the GHMC elections. Alleging that the TRS government has tampered with EVMs, he made it clear that TPCC will wage judicial fight on the episode. (NSS)
