‘Congress, TRS branding TDP as anti-Telangana’

Hyderabad, January 14: The Congress is using TRS as a pawn to weaken Telugu Desam Party (TDP), senior party leader T Devender Goud has alleged. Speaking to reporters here today, he said the Congress and the TRS have joined hands and were trying to brand TDP as anti-Telangana, Goud alleged. The Congress had lost its ground in the state and using TRS to weaken the Opposition party. It is the Congress which has to give the T-state. But the TRS acting as an agent of the Congress, is attacking the TDP, he said.

TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao was never committed to T-state but only interested in elections and collections. That is why he is talking about the possible midterm polls again, Goud said. “TDP has its own agenda and know how to fight for Telangana,” he said.

“If the TRS continues its activities and obstruct the programmes of TDP, our cadre will not keep quiet. Do not test our patience,” Goud warned the TRS. On the separate party unit for Telangana region, Goud said party president N Chandrababu Naidu would deal with such issues and added that the Telangana TDP Forum would continue its agitation for separate state. Goud found fault with the TRS for luring TDP cadre into their party.
