Hyderabad: The TPCC today started the process of seeking applications for MP seats of the state. Several aspirants of the MP ticket are making a beeline at the party headquarters Gandhi Bhavan in the city.
The ticket aspirant for Bhongir MP seat, Vangala Swamy Goud has submitted his application to the senior leader of the party T. Kumar Rao. His application contained details like his association with the party and his services to the party. The letter was addressed to the party president Rahul Gandhi. In his application, Goud said that he has been serving the party since the last 30 years. He brought to the notice of the party president that the Bhongir constituency has a total of 2.5 lakh voters belonging to his Gouda community. He urged the Party leadership to consider his name while finalising the party candidate from Bhongir seat.
Senior Congress Leader and former Rajya Sabha member V. Hanumantha Rao has submitted his application and urged the party high command to give him Khammam MP ticket. TPCC Vice President Mallu Ravi has urged the party high command to give him Nagarkurnool MP seat ticket. Another Congress Leader Patel Ramesh Reddy submitted his application and urged the party high command to give him Nalgonda MP ticket. Leaders like Indira and Bellaiah Naik submitted their applications and urged the party high command to give them ticket from Mahbubabad and Warangal MP seats, respectively.
A total of 25 applications have been received by the Party leadership on the first day. Two more days have remained to receive the applications from the ticket aspirants.
