Congress on Wednesday welcomed the decision of High Court directing the Speaker to dispose off the disqualification petitions against the defected MLAs.
Speaking to media after the High Court order, Congress MLA and Whip A. Sampath Kumar said that the court order has strengthened people’s faith in the judiciary. He said that the court order was a slap in the face of ruling TRS which was resorting to ‘horse trading’. He said that it was strange that KCR who had criticized other parties on defections was now himself resorting to the same.
TDP MLA Revanth Reddy hailed the court order and demanded the speaker to dispose off the petitions to disqualify the legislators who crossed the floor of the Assembly. (INN)
