Hyderabad, April 07: As polling in the by-elections for the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly seats has come closer, Congress leaders on Friday came down heavily on YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by calling him a ‘dictator and dangerous element’ in politics.
Talking to newsmen at Gandhi Bhavan here, PCC chief spokesman and MLC Paladugu Venkata Rao and another spokesman B Kamalakar Rao described Jagan as a ‘dictator’ who wanted to pursue politics with money power. “Jagan will not allow others to grow economically and politically if he wins the election. People like Jagan do not enter politics to serve people but to make gains for self. Jagan-like elements are not good for in politics. Freedom here is less than in other districts. The time has come for people to think of their future before exercising their franchise. Though the situation looks peaceful, people are scared of casting their vote,” they said.
Another senior leader Palvai Goverdhan Reddy complained that the large number of ministers and Congress MLAs deployed for electioneering were not doing their bit to ensure Jagan’s defeat possibly due to their love and affection for the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
