Congress should Dissolve and seek fresh mandate, demands YSR

Describing the party’s performance in the by-polls as people’s victory, YSR Congress party on Friday demanded that the Congress should seek a fresh mandate as the verdict has clearly indicated the will of the people.

“YSRC is party of the future as both Congress and TDP were rejected in the people’s court despite the misuse of money power and muscle power. Though the two parties worked in tandem their candidates lost deposits at many places which is an indication of the changing political scenario in the days to come and the important role our party will be playing in the days to come,” party spokespersons Ambati Rambabu, Vasireddy Padma, Gattu Ramachandra Rao and Janak Prasad told reporters here.

Though it is unfortunate that our leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy is not between us at this happy hour,we will continue to take forward the ideals of YSR and the people’s verdict reflects that people are with Jagan, they said adding that in the coming days YSRC will be a force to reckon with, they said.

Winning 15 out of 18 assembly seats shows that people are vexed with Congress and TDP and YSR Congress is the shining star on the political horizon, they said adding that the unholy nexus between the ruling and opposition parties have come to the fore at Ramachandrapuram and Narsapuram where TDP lost deposits and transferred its votes to Congress.

It is a graceful defeat at Parakala of party candidate Konda Surekha and the wafer thin margin proves that YSRC has a strong base in the Telangana region. Congress, which lost deposit, helped TRS win but Surekha’s defeat is a moral victory for YSRC, they said.

The victory at Tirupati shows that Chiranjeevi factor did not work as YSRC wrested the seat by a margin of over 18,000 which is much more than what the film-star-turned politician achieved. YSRC gained both PRP seats Allgadda and Tirupati while the majority of Nellore Lok Sabha had clearly shown what is in store for Congress and TDP in the days to come.

Of the 41 by-polls that have come after the death of YSR, TDP failed to win a single seat while Congress with the unholy nexus with TDP could win two seats, they said.

Earlier, Party Honorary Secretary YS Vijayamma and her family members met YS Jaganmohan Reddy at Chanchalguda jail. Later speaking to reporters, she said, “People are with us along with God’s grace. The majority our candidates have achieved at various places show the popularity of YS Jaganmohan Reddy
and YSRC,” they said. (INN)
